Surprise guests are helping us launch our Got Milk Campaign! These bear cubs and our wild patients need you to help support their care.
Surprise arrivals on a rainy spring day! These two cubs were sadly orphaned after their mother had a fatal encounter with a truck. Weighing only 5 and 7 lbs. these cubs were rescued from the road with help from Vernon Police Department , local animal control, and Wildlife Freedom who ensured that the cubs were safely transported to Woodlands Wildlife Refuge. We will continue to update you on “Spring and Rain”. Woodlands Wildlife Refuge has been rehabilitating and releasing bears in a coordinated effort with NJ Fish and Wildlife since 1995.
